Story

In a distant future, the planets at the outer edges of the galaxy have become a beacon to fortune seekers and those yearning for a better life off world, but there are no guarantees in deep space. Pandora, one of these distant planets, was reported to be rich in untapped mineral wealth, and so drew many hoping to get rich quick, but in the end little was found beyond the scattered ruins of a past alien civilization. With nothing to gain, any who could soon abandoned Pandora, leaving those who remained to deal with the lawlessness of a world gone bust, and the mystery of the long-dead alien civilization. But as chaotic as these times were, there were worse days yet to come. After several years the planet's huge orbit slowly brought it near to its sun and once unknown and horrifying creatures sprang from their long hibernation to terrify the stranded colonists. The only hope of the colonists seems to be a vault discovered in a mountainside, rumored to contain alien technology and secrets about Pandora. Will this discovery be the colonist's salvation or their end? Discover their fate in Borderlands.

Gameplay

As in a traditional RPG, Borderlands is built around the continual leveling of characters as they delve into quests. These quests include both story-driven adventures and side quests that offer players rewards such as items exclusive to quest completion and/or forward movement of the story. Players can look forward to action set in both single player and multiplayer modes--including co-op play--as well as vehicular combat, literally thousands of different types of weapons that change each time you play and randomly generated maps and map features.

Playable Characters

Borderlands features several playable characters, each with its own unique backstory, abilities and skills. Skills can be leveled up, allowing for improvement of things like health, accuracy with weapons and capacity for items. In addition to this, characters possess unique skill tree development, ensuring that each will develop differently regardless of time spend leveling them up.

Co-op Design - Borderlands is built from the ground up to be an exciting, intuitive cooperative experience for up to four players simultaneously that rewards players who work together and invest in co-op skills. Split screen is also supported.

Here players are tasked with the completion of 20 exclusive Borderlands missions, involving the zombie infestation of the island, as well as various optional side quests. As the name of the island suggests, players will be kept busy honing their skills at killing zombies, zombie bosses and the other undead beings as efficiently as possible. In-game money is earned for these kills and available weapons come both in the form of randomly generated weapons and unique items taken off defeated bosses. The level of undead action experienced is directly tied to players' progression within the single player campaign within the main game, making for gameplay closely tied to the main game, and a zombie fest not to be missed.
- Borderlands: Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot - Borderlands: Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot is the second add-on pack for Borderlands re-released on disc following initial availability via digital download. Designed with a Mad Mad Thunderdome ethic and feel, action here occurs within a series of spaces known as riot arenas where the changing rules, commentary and mood are provided entirely at the whim of the over-the-top and seductive ringmistress, Moxxi. The Games

Ported over to the PC platform in 2002 from the original PS2 version, Grand Theft Auto III is the first 3D game in the GTA series, the fifth game in the series overall and the one that introduced players to the famous in-game environment of Liberty City. Story

Sniper: Ghost Warrior is a single player first-person tactical shooter that features game mechanics based primarily on realistic covert actions of a military sniper. Gameplay: Kingdoms, Heroes and Quests

As with all The Sims games, The Sims Medieval is primarily a Simulation game where the player is responsible for all aspects of their sims' lives. But The Sims Medieval expands on the classic The Sims gameplay formula by affecting the focus of players and their Sims via a change of environment and game mechanics. The game adopts a "what if" scenario, placing your sims in a Medieval setting, complete with castles, monarchs, knights, peasants, intrigue between kingdoms, etc. Thus the question is: What if a The Sims game was set in a Medieval European time period? The answer to this is that although the player must still be very concerned about the day to day happiness, or unhappiness, of their Sims, there are also other concerns appropriate to the time period, or at least the game's interpretation of the time period. This equates to the three-tiered approach to gameplay centered around: kingdom, heroes and quests.
Life in the kingdoms of The Sims Medieval revolve around castles and the other buildings and facilities that are added to a kingdom. As a kingdom is established players codify the overall ambition of their kingdom. These ambitions can reflect a variety of concerns, including political, military, economic, etc. and will serve as a sort of mission statement for everything that transpires among the Sims that populate a kingdom. In the end this initial decision affects both Sim happiness and the overall fate of your kingdom. With each building that is added during the game players gain access to specific hero character types associated with them. These range from lofty roles like rulers, knights and wizards, all the way to the more humble physicians, craftsmen, etc. These different types of Sims can be customized in ways familiar to players of earlier games, including apparel and temperament, as well as the new fatal flaw customization, which must be worked out if players choose to work towards their sims prospering. The cumulative experience of this customization makes up the building blocks of a Sim's day-to-day experience, actions in the kingdom and happiness. Once the player's Sims are established, the game opens up into an additional crucial gameplay area, quests.
Quests in The Sims Medieval contains a certain level of role-playing game mechanics, which is new to The Sims franchise, and which offers players the opportunity to earn skill points, experience points and kingdom points. Following standard RPG game mechanics, points allow for leveling up of Sims characters and kingdoms. Thus, quests are also a crucial element of the game that drives the story of the game forward, depending on their success or failure, the temperaments of the participating Sims and the goals of the kingdom. Simple quests can be taken on by a single Sim while more complex endeavors can require up to three Sim heroes. All quests contain multiple paths towards completion, which are further varied by the fact of the differing strengths and weakness of your chosen heroes. This type of flexibility in quests allows for maximum replay value of the game, as the outcome of quests can vary widely depending on the Sim heroes utilized.

The Storyline
A horrific nuclear conflict in the Middle East has not only killed millions, it's also crippled the world's fuel supply. With oil from that part of the world no longer available, crude oil prices skyrocket to $800 a barrel. The vast Russian landmass now holds the largest accessible reserves of fossil fuels, making Russia the world's primary supplier of energy virtually overnight. With the massive economic boom it receives, Russia quickly re-establishes itself as a superpower and restores her military might. In response most of Western Europe unifies to create the European Federation, a new nation destined to be a formidable 21st-century superpower. But things are also changing across the pond. In 2020, the United States is on the verge of finishing construction on the Freedom Star, a controversial orbital military platform that will upset the balance of world power. The European Federation withdraws from NATO in protest. Tensions between the European Federation, the United States, and Russia are building and will soon reach the breaking point. The EndWar is about to begin. Which side will you fight on?

The European Enforcer Corp
The European Federation is a new superpower, founded in 2018 to consolidate political and economic power in the face of the world energy crisis and accelerating security and environmental concerns around the globe. Though publicized as an evolution of the European Union, demanding admission criteria disenfranchised all but the wealthiest nations of Europe. The UK and Ireland declined membership (instead joining the New Commonwealth), as did Switzerland (fiercely neutral as always).Consummate professionals, the European Federation Enforcer Corps is made up of veteran elite counter-terrorist and peacekeeping forces from throughout Europe. As the action begins players have their pick of four distinct character classes, and weapons, gadgets and specializations. The Plot
Grand Theft Auto IV is a brand new adventure in the GTA universe following the experiences of Nikolai "Niko" Bellic, a new immigrant from an undisclosed eastern European country whose troubled pa st and the persuasion of his cousin Roman have brought him to the fictional Liberty City. Unfortunately, Niko’s search for the American Dream and a much needed fresh start, hits an immediate snag when the rags to riches story Roman spun to pique Niko's interest is exposed as not only a complete fabrication, but a ploy to enlist Niko’s well-known skills as a tough guy against the ample list of enemies clamoring for Roman’s debt-ridden blood.
Because Roman is the only person Niko knows in Liberty City he begrudgingly accepts his role as Roman’s protector despite the deception. But as time goes on Niko comes into his own, and his experience on the wrong side of the tracks proves more valuable than he could have ever imagined as he fights for survival and later supremacy on the crime ridden streets of Liberty City.
Game Environments
Based on several of the boroughs of New York City and parts of New Jersey, Liberty City, familiar to players of previous games in the series, has been entirely redesigned for GTA IV. Players can expect visible detail down to the weeds growing in the cracks in the sidewalk, cars and buildings of visibly different ages and a much greater level if verticality in the buildings and bridges that they are able to explore as Niko moves through the city streets. In addition, pedestrians in GTA IV are much more realistic. No longer simply moving cardboard cutouts, these NPCs are intelligent, modern, human representations that laugh, cry, eat, drink, use cell phones and ATMs, and talking amongst themselves regardless of Niko’s interaction with them.
Gameplay
Historically GTA games have focused heavily on mission-based play, requiring successful completion of fixed tasks in order for players to progress through the game, but this has changed to a great extent in GTA IV. Players will experience an entirely new and exciting emphasis centered on the blending of on-mission and off-mission play, resulting not only in an increased sense of realism, but more interesting and unrestricted gameplay.
Features
Aside from the car jacking and a detailed city environment here are the new features for GTA IV:

Improved combat system - Now you can use cover and also a target lock system, which allows you to take out targets with greater ease and accuracy. Plus, you can engage in some hand-to-hand combat if you can't get your hands on a piece quick enough.
Cell phone - Not just for basic phone calls anymore. Use your in-game cell phone to receive missions via SMS, snap photos, and ZiT (tag) songs that can be downloaded exclusively on Amazon.com/mp3.
Free time - In between missions you can take advantage of "me" time. There are gentleman's clubs, comedy clubs, bowling alleys, and bars, which all house unique activities.
Take a break from the storyline - A variety of side missions allow you to help run a car service, "borrow" cop cars, assassinate targets, help solve problems for those on the street, or take to the air with stunt jumps that are scattered all over the city.
Control your own fate - Throughout the game choice moments will arrive causing you to make a decision that will affect relationships and money.

Multiplayer
Give Niko a rest and create your own multiplayer "hero." GTA has added multiplayer modes allowing you to take your creation out to play online in competitive, co-op, and free form modes. Competitive mode has you fighting against the cops, jacking cars, or racing to finish odd jobs. Co-op challenges you and your friends with various tasks including Hangman's NOOSE where you are responsible for escorting a wanted kingpin to a safe extraction point. Freeform lets you and 15 others lose on Liberty City. Use this mode to hit up the bar and play virtual darts versus each other or head out to the streets and set up your own drag races. If you can dream it, you can do it in Freeform mode.
ZiT: We'll Spot The Song For You
When playing Grand Theft Auto IV, if you hear a song that you are interested in buying as an MP3, all you have to do is dial ZiT-555-0100 on your in-game mobile phone and a text message will be sent to you with the name of the artist and the title of the track. Ok, well I bought this warcraft war chest because 24-7 World of Warcraft (minus the 8 painful hours of maintenance on Tuesdays) just isnt enough. I actually played this game years ago, before WOW came onto the scene (and from what I can tell pretty much killed the PC gaming market). It is still great fun, very smart, and if you are a WOW addict gives you some nice back story and a way to get up close and personal with the various WOW bosses. If not, it is a great blizzard RTS (real time strategy -- I think this is the category this game falls into anyway). And if you are waiting for Starcraft 2, this will entertain you during your wait (or during the 8 hours of WOW maintenance on Tuesdays!)

This game is much better to me since I couldn't play Starcraft on my imac and had to return the product through Amazon. When I have mac os x and Starcraft didn't work, just didn't make sense. I've played many games from this genre, starting with the original Lords of the Realm 2 (though I guess it's not original is it's a sequel...). I've played shogun TW, Medival TW, Rome TW, and now Medieval 2 TW. It's good to be able to say there has been steady improvement thorughout the series. The game will take a long time to play through. And if you move too slowly and conservatively you may even lose. One of the thnigs I found annoying was when your empire reaches a certain size, one day people decide to just be unhappy. It gets annoying when all your cities are almost revolting back home even with full garrisons and low taxes etc., and you're trying to fight a war elsewhere. It adds realism though, which is good. I found the game a bit more challenging than Rome TW, but it moves a little slower and funds are more scarce. I wish it had Pirates! style naval combat, but you'll have to get Empire TW if you want an approximation of that. Overall an enjoyable game that keeps you interested for quite some time.

So far I have been completely satisfied with the game. The graphics are solid, the game is playable with a lot of different factions and unique units for each faction. I am looking forward to playing through with some of the ones you can't right when you start.

The last Total War product I purchased was Rome:Total War and this game has all the same great ingredients and then some. If you have played any of the other Total War titles and are looking for another strategy game, I would suggest it.

"Amazing Stratagy Game" 2009-09-19

This game is an amazing improvement on Rome: Total War. The graphics have been ramped up quite a bit, and even set on full speed the game isn't jumpy. The armor, weapons siege equipment, and horses look amazingly realistic. The siege equipment is one of the biggest improvements over Rome -- there are about 10 types and each of them look amazing, from the trebuchet to the monster bombard to the rocket launchers from the Far East. Prior to engaging the armies (which can number over 1200 men) I find it enjoyable just to zoom up and see the soldiers marching. The campaign is equally enjoyable. Managing an empire has never been this fun. Between choosing ways to maximize your cities' monetary output and produce large armies at the same time it's impossible to play the same campaign twice. With the Kingdoms expansion the game only gets better. There are 4 new campaigns and each has at least 5 different nations to play as. That's 20 campaigns right there. This game provides endless playing time and you will never get bored with this game.

With the same philosophy of ROME TW, just better. Far better graphics, including the proportions. Have you ever noticed how enormous the buildings are, compared to people, in ROME? This issue have been improved, as well as the lights, textures and motion of both man of foot and the horses.

The addition of the "Princess" agent is very welcome, as well as the "merchants" and "priests".

The playability is awesome, as well as the script, videos and soundtrack.

The only thing missing here was the old ROME feature of just checking out your town once in a while, without having to be in the middle of a battle just to see it.

A great addition, with the Kingdoms expansion, is the ability to give orders to your AI reinforcements in the middle of the battle!

You're going to need a mean machine if you're to actually enjoy the brutal realism of the battles, but it's worth the investment.

Truly terrific. :)

I really dont understand all the negativity here against this game. I have played a few other real-time-strategy games and this by far beats all of them hands down with AI, graphics and just the sheer depth of the game itself. I like the amount of planning and strategizing you can do in this game and how any decision you make can have such long lasting consequences down the road.

I've been playing this since June and aside from some very few crashes here and there, this game has been absolutely amazing. ITS A GREAT GAME!!!

Im from Venezuela, and i nearly sell my liver to buy this game, do u think this game is expensive for u? think about it, to me cost 6 times more than you + shipping to Venezuela, i found this game dissapointed, but not for STEAM wich i think is very confy for people like me who dont want spend time looking for Updates, the more you have a good internet conection (thing wich USA should be so easy not like us)you wont have problems. To me the main problem is the IA of the game, the game is really heavy, the soldiers move as stupids clones, for example, a complete batalion must wait a laggin behind soldier to shut the enemy, when you say them STOP, they stop yes, but after they continue advancing to make the shut, NO MEN!! i was telling you STOP in order you shut on that exactly position stupids monkeys! So Shuting become rally useless and you must take the sword and pike again, just like Medieval Total war were. Siege is the other imposible thing to play, no matter if you are defending or attacking is also Buggy lagly imposible. Graphics are cute, but this litle cute need a Great Machine, mine is GTX 260 and nearly it can handle it on ULTRA, the Sea battle do are good more than on field, So i recommend you this game, just if you are a Extremly TW fan and you can get it for a low price, other way its better dont buy it in order dont be angred and dissapointed.

I bought this game the day it came out and have loved it ever since, Its the biggest improvement in the Total War series yet and I have just passed 250 hrs played, yes, it does require a nice computer but it is definitely worth the investment as all games these days do, so I dont see why people are crying about this fact... You need a nice computer because the graphics are AMAZING, (I run on all ultra with everything turned on w/24") yes, the battles take 30sec to load - get over it. I would much rather have better graphics than a little faster load times. I am just so confused at why a great game like this is rated so low?? all of the major game rating websites have this near 9/10 so dont listen to these grouches. I tried to play rome total war 2 the other day and found myself sighing at the poor gameplay and graphics comparatively with ETW(I used to think it was great until I played ETW) I only played one battle and it was less than I remeber it being. - how did I ever play that? BUY THIS NOW WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? Then again - Napoleon Total war comes out in febuary so you may just want to hold off until then and get that, I know I will.

I have been a loyal follower of the total war series and was absolutely stoked when I saw the news that a Total War game set in the 1800s was going to be released. But upon playing I just couldn't stomach the flaws that this Disappointment provided. I'll try to keep this short. As in all the Total War games Diplomacy is pretty much useless - treaties go in one ear and out the other so to speak, being allianced with another nation provides no comfort whatsoever seeing as how out of nowhere they will send some small army to wreak havoc on a local settlement or blockade a port for no apparent reason. Why? Good question. The Pirates in this game are a nightmare to deal with. The battles are a godawful experience - artillery (one of the most important aspects of 1800s warfare) prove to be useless. Directing your men anywhere but in a straight line is like dealing with a drunk passerby, and the siege battles OHHHH the siege battles are a product straight out of hell. Although the navel battles are beautiful and fun. In other words, save your money or lower your expectations.

"iPen works amazingly well with Mac OSX" 2009-12-11

The iPen, by Finger System USA, inc., is an older hardware item. Yet, it worked amazingly well with my Apple Mac Aluminum Powerbook G4 PPC running OS 10.4.11 Tiger, right out of the box. I didn't have to load any software, or download any drivers either. It was simply plug and play, or should I say "plug and draw." Anything that you can do with a standard mouse, you can do with the iPen, but with more control and precision.

I use it with the free 2D drawing and animation program called Pencil. My 7 year old twin nephews use it with the free child's painting program called Tux Paint, because the iPen that I ordered came with a non-compatible version of KidPix. I didn't care about the incompatibility of the software. I bought the iPen, because the hardware was an inexpensive and temporary replacement for my Genius Tablet that had frozen. I could NOT draw on the track pad mouse with my fingertip either.

At that time, I couldn't afford a high end replacement tablet. Yesterday, December 9, 2009, I upgraded to a Wacom Tablet, but I still enjoy my iPen. I guess I've become accustomed to it. This is so true that I prefer the iPen to the track pad. The iPen is a wired (not wireless) USB plug in device. If you cannot afford a good Mac compatible graphics tablet yet, then the iPen is a very affordable and practical work around. No, it is NOTHING LIKE a graphics tablet, but it beats the heck out of trying to draw with a standard mouse, or a track pad mouse. More than that, the price I paid for my iPen ($9.95 with free shipping) was approximately the cost of shipping for my Wacom.

If you are expecting the handwriting recognition feature to work on iPen, then you are barking up the wrong tree. The iPen will not do that on a Mac. That is what I have my AceCad 692 with VPen for. My newly acquired Wacom Tablet also provides that feature. If that is what you want, then you'd better save up for a Mac OS X compatible tablet. If, on the other hand, you want to be able to draw until you save up for a good tablet, AND you're currently attempting to accomplish that feat with a standard mouse, or track pad, then you WILL NOT go wrong by purchasing the OS X compatible iPen in the interim. It may not be for everyone, but for folks on a budget, I highly recommend it. Again, although it is NOT published as such, it IS OS X compatible (I don't know about Intel though). Oh, one more thing. You MUST use the mouse pad that comes with the iPen if you want to have the most control over the device.

I have a couple of weeks with this pen mouse. All the software is easy to install. The resolution isn't very good but it works well. The software for handwriting recognition is not perfect; I could say that works at 90%. I have noted that it works better in English than Spanish. I bought it because I like the idea to make notes or drawings over any other application. You can save all your notes as image with the application as background.

I ordered this with lot of Scepticism .....and these are my views...

1. It totally eliminated my wrist pain !!

2. I am using this as a mouse only ...and no writing with it

3. Hanging wire is bit annoying but i got used to it now

4. "right click" is troublesome as the button is very small and is not easy to operate...

5. i am using keyboard with left hand and this pen as mouse in right hand.

6. Single clicks and double clicks are effortless .....but not natural so i use "enter button" on key board with left hand.

7. I have tried all mouse designs available and finally selected this mouse !!

8. Being a product designer i can tell that this product is not designed right...but this is the best among the rest.

9.I use this pen either on table ( on my mouse pad instead of the graph came with it ) and

10. I use it on my "leg" also which is a more natural pose for your hands and body....yes i use it like writing on thighs ;-)

The idea of this controller is AWESOME. But this controller is made really cheap, also the videos i have seen from the manufacturer are awesome. It just doesn't work like it should. Maybe if you had lots and LOTS of time to tweak it you could get it working right but I would not recommend this controller for anyone that just wants to plug it in and start playing.

I have v1 of the Frag and loved it. I was very excited when the wireless version came out. I read the bad reviews, but I figured people were just exaggerating how bad it was, and I really wanted one. Well, it goes back in the mail today (assuming the seller lets me return it).

I've downloaded and installed two firmware upgrades (11/30 and 12/3) and neither one made any difference. Oh yeah - upgrading the firmware is quite a task! Constantly starting and stopping the control panel software while inserting and removing the dongle from the computer. You have to do it for each piece of hardware.

Anyway, the mouse jumps around on the screen when trying to zoom in on the enemy. Sometimes no signal is sent out at all and the aiming doesn't even move. They have a new firmware due out on 12/18 and I emailed SplitFish asking if this will really be a reliable fix or not. But they never responded to me. I don't want to lose $100 on something that doesn't work, and the 30 day return policy is about to expire, so I'm sending it back. I hope that in a few months they will fix this and the reviews will get better. Then I'll buy it again. Till then, I'll stick with v1 and the tangle of wires.

Have not, as yet, started to feel comfortable with this controller. That being said, it is great for aiming. The firmware was quirky and am expecting another upgrade soon. The first upgrade did help increase the sensitivity and speed of the mouse. The mouse is huge and clunky and I do not have small hands. The frag button on the "frag chuck" is a great idea, but virtually impossible to use. The L1 and the frag button need to pressed at the same time with the same finger and this move is difficult to groove. Connection has been lost a few times even with only about 4ft distance to the wireless adapter and that can be infuriating during a fierce firefight. All of this sounds like I hate the SFX Dual Frag Pro, but I don't. It could just be so much better.

I pre-order this product and had a lot of expectation, but didn't work for me. I have the FragFx V.1 that work just fine.

One of my big frustration was the accuracy and response of the mouse movement. It feels like you using a trackball for the first time. I tried to get used and see If could handle with time, but after two weeks, I'm still a lot better with my fragfx and the Sixaxis playing FPS games.

Pro: Wireless, have the digital direction on the top left instead in bottom left like FragFX v.1.

Cons: 6 AAA batteries are too much and make the controller pretty heavy. Accuracy and latency response are lame for a FPS hardcore gamer. FOR ME one other big problem is the size of the mouse and Fragchuck. I don't think I have small hands, but the size of the SFX Dual are much bigger than the previous product.

(sorry splitfish, I love you guys but so far this was the worst product that I got from you)

Anyone that still undecided can look out for some videos on youtube about the accuracy and response time this product.

I bought these to replace the Turtle Beach pair I had. Nothing wrong with the TB's, just wanted TRUE 5.1 where TB's is simulated.

The surround is awesome! Not as much better from the TB's as I thought they would be, but still excellent.

Setup was super simple and not as hard as some have said. There is only ONE wire that needs to be visible and that's the one going to the headset. Everything can be hidden away. There are NOT two power blocks for this unit. It has ONE power block with two wires coming out of it, so it only takes up one outlet.

I've been using this headset mainly for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, and my game has improved somewhat from being able to hear where the enemy is. I recently found that by turning the sub volume down, I can hear footsteps around me even better.

I only have one major complaint about this unit, and that's the microphone. Quite simply, it stinks. The sound quality that other people hear is HORRID. It's a tinny sound and sounds distant even when the mic is right at my mouth. People have told it's hard to hear and even harder to understand me. I'm guessing that this is because it's connected via a 3.5mm plug instead of being hardwired. It's nice to be able to remove it, but not at the expense of sound quality. I've resorted to using my PS Eye as my mic, which is cumbersome itself, since there's no mute function while using that. This cheap sounding, tinny mic is the only reason I didn't give this unit 5 stars.

The headphone's directional stereo sound is very good. But the microphone is not that great, it's sound quality not as good as the default XBox headset microphone. I had to replace the first Triton AX Pro headset I received since the microphone emitted horrible feedback and was not usable in-game. The replacement headset also has poor microphone sound quality.

For the high price of this headset the microphone sound should be top quality, but it's not.

Instead of a better microphone the headset has extra sound features that one would probably never use, such as Dolby Pro logic, which basically converts a 2-channel audio source to Dolby 5.1. However the XBox support native Dolby 5.1 so I don't know why the Dolby Pro Logic feature is included.

You are better off buying a cheaper model that supports the Dolby 5.1 sound, due to the microphone issues.

The only problem I have with this headset is that sometimes when you wait and there is no other sounds there is a constant sound in the headset, pretty annoying, but you get used to it.

I have the yoke and 3 lever throttle, the rudder pedals and 3 of the saitek Flight instrument panels and the Pro Flight Switch Panel. They work GREAT!

They are HIGHLY recommended.

I only have 2 complaints..sometimes all the panels don't get started at the same time (probably due to the USB power requirement) so I have to unplug them and replug them...but it's usually just 1 of the 6 devices.....mostly the yoke itself.

The other complaint is that there is no HSI option on the flight instrument panel...maybe in a driver upgrade.

These change the usablity of FSX from tedious to truly enjoyable!

This beats the twist axis of the Saitek x52 stick, and is probably better than other rudder pedals. Do NOT expect this to feel at all real if you're a real-world pilot -- variable resistance (force feedback) would be very useful here to simulate the actual resistance of moving the rudder pedals in flight. For some reason, the toe brakes get stuck. Haven't figured out how to fix this. If you just play flight sim, these might be exactly what you expected, but if you're a real-world pilot looking for something that will simulate your costly hobby/profession, this will likely disappoint.

I do have the Saitek yoke and throttle quadrant to go with this. It is very good. I also have a TrackIR v3 that I cannot get to work satisfactorily. Maybe the newer revisions of the TrackIR work better.

"An oldy but a goody, especially for $15..." 2009-12-09

Since pretty much everyone has Win7 or Vista now, and this game is only $15, why not give it a go? I'm not into the multi-player aspect even still, but the single player campaign is very good, very similar to Halo: Combat Evolved.

Once again, you are Master Chief fighting off the Covenant through familiar territory. The weapons and controls are familiar, as are the graphics. Ok, so this game came out 4 years ago on Xbox and 2 yrs ago on the PC, so why get it? Well for one, it's cheap and still fun. Why not get it? The hardware requirements are surprising for a game with modest graphics, at best. My pc is a core i7@ 4ghz with a heavily overclocked 9800 gt gfx card. Even on my machine, the graphics are dated, but not completely 2d and terrible.

The games for Windows thing, yeah, it's annoying. I think MS realized they messed up with this, and asking people to pay for online play too? Pfff. But the main point is, a fun game for about $15, so if you don't have it, pull the trigger and enjoy shooting funny little aliens...

Well, I bought the upgrade from Halo and finally bought Halo II since I was forced to go Vista with my new computer. I didn't want the forced upgrade to Vista with the purchase of Halo II so I held out until my old computer's power supply failed taking out the mother board. Now I'm one of the no so thrilled Vista users.

I loaded Halo II on my Dell and began to play. I launched the game and was immediately rewarded with, "Not enough system resources" pop up. I have six meg of memory and loads of hard drive space. I've killed the extraneous Vista operations so they will no longer run in the back ground, but my brand new computer is still not capable of running the game.

I do not get a pop up saying the graphics card is not capable - just the system resource pop up and there is no internet help available for this issue. Basically. Microsoft created the game and created my OS and they still do not provide enough info to fix the non-runner problem so I wasted my money.

Stay away from this and buy a game from a gaming company with clear details on system requirements and actual support.

I couldnt even install the game. It was skipping this part all the time. After choosing the game installation type and pressing the 'continue' button, nothing happened. I googled the problem, found lots of people which encountered the same problem. Wasted few hours on trying to install the game. Nothing helped. I simply deleted the game. This is a great remake of the original Halo 2 for Xbox. It has better graphics, the ability to play online with an xbox silver membership, earn achievements, and the ability to customize your own maps. The only drawback to this game is its lag. Even if you computer meets or exceeds the minimum, it will lag at times. When people join the match in mid-game, it will lag during the connection process. I would recommend this game to any fps lover even with the cons. Halo 2
