"Great idea minus the graphics" 2009-12-07
By Scott Owens
First off, this game was only 8.99 so I can't really complain too much. I will start with the pros first. The battle sequences are awesome. This game is one of a kind with regards to battle and strategy. Having said that the cons are a follows: The graphics are about at the level of graphics that came out around 2002-2003. The "quests that you go on are retarded and so simple. This game with the updated graphics and better story lines could be game of the year.

 "Great" 2009-11-30

A great game, really true to the medieval politics of Europe, even though that's not what the game is about; it's a nice bonus for history buffs like me. Perhaps the only major difference is the roles woman possess, that is, having groups of 'sword sisters.' But it's understandable for gameplay reasons.

The game has great graphics, nice selection of armor, but perhaps best of all; a huge modding community, meaning the mods are endless; everything from the Napoleonic era to zombies, and even star wars.

"fun and easy to play" 2009-11-26

It's like rome total war but for me it's better because you own a horse and you can fight the battle in first person.

 "Best of its kind" 2009-11-22
By Clark C. Talkington
this is a very creative game because not only do you fight, but you can go into a city or town and just walk around and buy stuff.I like this game because you start from scratch, then you choose your path,u can raise a pitiful little army of volunteers up to 30 soldiers, and later u can get armor for them and and recruit knights and such, then your army isnt so pitiful and as you progress you can get more men.

Or you could try to avoid thugs and vikings and just go around helping the economy, boring.Anyway,if you become well "acquainted" with a faction leader,or do something heroic for a faction,he will ask you to become a vassal, which then you will get your own banner, you get a better, bigger army, and you get your own town which you can turn into a castle, and best of all you can participate in battles ind sieges your faction is having with another.

Also what's great is you can make your own story.you could be a vassal or a merchant, which I explained above,or you could be a rebel, and outlaw,or a mercenary. Also what's great is the combat. You move your mouse to show which way you want to swing your sword, and the damage depends on your speed. Also shields don't last forever,so i recomend gettinga steel one. It's realistic because if you lose you don't just flee with your army, you get taken prisoner annd you have no army when you escape. You can als be an archer on foot or horse back, the controls make it so you can fire your bow and move your horse at the same time. You just aim,and click, but you have to watch the angle because the arrow doesn't just go straight,it curves on a downward slope, like a real arrow does.

I also like the terrain, there's many different types, ther's snow, grass, and desert, and they are always different every time you fight, and the castles are never the same, and the villages are never the same, and the desert has a different type of architecture.

There's only one other game like this called Civilizations Rise and Fall, but set in ancient time,it would've been a cool game, but it's got problems that make your computer freeze up and cripple.so this is a GREAT game.5 star!

 "Very good PC game." 2009-11-21
By Nancy Hotz (Cuba, MO USA)
One of my favorite PC games. Very good gameplay, very good graphics (though that isn't a real issue with me), and many different ways to play it out. I love how many choices you have in how your character's life plays out. I personally like to get my own kingdom and wipe everyone else out. I usually join Swadia and take my lands when it refuses to give me one I ask for. It gets repetitive if you play it too long, but it should give you a good three, three and-a-half months of play, and its pretty cheap. After a few months it will be good again.
